Strategy of Socio-Economic Development of Chisinau Municipality

Implementation period: December 2002 - February 2003

Sponsor: UNDP Moldova

Goal: To design the General Urban Plan of Chisinau Municipality.  

Objectives: Update urban development data, establish the participatory process for urban development aspects, design the socio-economic development plan, identify the alternatives for urban traffic in the city centre, design the zoning map for the historical side of the city.

Results

• Urban data regarding all the sectors presented in General Urban Plan Concept
• Participative framework for the General Urban Development Plan 2020 of Chisinau Municipality.
• Established the priorities for the city centre development
• Developed the General Urban Plan Concept.
