Grant competition for women willing to initiate or expand current business

Implementation period: June – December 2015

Sponsor: UN Women through the Joint Integrated Local Development Programme  

Goal: Economic empowerment of women residing in JILDP communities through capacity building, coaching and support in management of 16 income generating activities.

Objective:

• To create employment opportunities for women and vulnerable people from JILDP communities.

Results:

• Call for applications launched;  
• Trainings for start-ups on business planning and management and funding procedures;      
• Coached the selected participants in business plan write-up and supported them in submission of business plans;
• 16 grants of 80,000 lei provided to young entrepreneurs to initiate and expand current businesses;
• Support in management of 16 start-ups and expanded businesses.
