Provision of consultancy services to support Local Public Authorities for better planning, budgeting, monitoring, evaluation and service provision

Goal: The overall goal of the project is to improve the ability of the Government of Moldova to protect vulnerable citizens from threats, domestic violence and human trafficking, as well as to improve the access of vulnerable citizens to quality and complete (medical, psychological, social, legal, employment and housing) services.           

Objectives: The overall objective of the assignment is to assist the Local Public Administrations (LPAs) of the Rezina rayon, Rezina town and the rural communities Papauti, Meseni, Ignatei, Saharna Noua and Tareuca in:

• Identifying actual development trends and priorities in the targeted rayon, town and communities;
• Elaborating Local Development Strategies and Action Plans for rural communities: Papauti, Meseni, Ignatei, Saharna Noua, Tareuca;
• Update the Local Development Strategies and Action Plans of the Rezina rayon and Rezina town with a compartment addressing human security issues.

Results

• 7 Capacity Assessments for 7 targeted LPAs
• 7 Capacity Development Action Plans
• Identified 7 priorities for capacity development
• 3 one-day training sessions provided to 5 targeted LPAs and local stakeholders
• 5 Socio-economic analyses, 5 Socio-Economic Development Strategies and Action Plans developed
• 2 Socio-Economic Development Strategies and Action Plans updated with Human Security chapters
• 7 Soft-development projects implemented.
