Study visit to Poland in the field of European cross-border projects



During 14-19 July, local authorities and non-governmental institutions had the opportunity to participate to a study visit to Poland, within the project “Training for the local communities in the Republic of Moldova for the efficient use of funds provided by the European programmes of cross-border cooperation”.

 

The project is financially supported by the Polish Assistance and is implemented by Business Consulting Institute and The Polish-Ukrainian Cooperation Foundation - PAUCI (Poland).

 

The purpose of the study visit was to learn from the experience of Poland in attiring European funds, in developing and implementing European projects and in capacity building of local authorities and civil society.

 

The agenda of the first day included a visit to the PAUCI Foundation and meetings with the representatives of the Ministry of Regional Development and the Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Lithuania - Poland - Russia 2007-2013.

 

During the following days, the guests have visited several Polish cities and have met with representatives of Ketyzn and Elk municipalities, of Warmia-Mazury University in Olsztyn, the Association Эко-инициатива in Kwidzyn, the Clinical Hospital of the Voivodship, the Museum of Archaeology and History and the Theatre "A. Sevruka" in Elblang. There were discussed: project goal, objectives, results and management, problems in cross-border projects etc.

 

This study visit was made by specialists from the local government of 1st and 2nd level and NGOs from Moldova.

 

The next study visit is planned for the first half of September month.
