Wine traditions on the agenda of a study visit to Georgia

The experts of Business Consulting Institute recently made a study visit to Georgia and learned from its millenary experience in ecological tourism and winemaking.

The team visited three notorious tourism destinations, Tbilisi, Mtskheta and Mukhrani, and observed the way Georgians promote their traditions, wine culture and local products.

They were invited to the inauguration of the Georgian office of ACTE (Association for Culture and Tourism Exchange) and had the occasion to discover the ACTE Wine Portal and discuss joint promotion of wine tourism destinations in Pontic countries.

The experts also visited the Caucasian Tourism Fair 2015 in Tbilisi and presented the tourism marketing strategy for the Black Sea countries, developed with their partners from Georgia, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Turkey.

The study visit took place in the project “Black Sea Network for Sustainable Tourism - Strategies for joint tourism marketing and development in the Black Sea region", financially supported by the European Union through the Black Sea Basin Joint Operational Programme.
