The business incubator in Stefan-Voda hosted the last of the three Hackathons currently organized under the project Promoting entrepreneurship in developing rural areas.
On 5-6 December, more than 50 young people intending to start or develop their own company formed 14 teams and attended a marathon of business ideas. They were guided by facilitators from BCI, ODIMM, ENTRANSE and CIVITTA Estonia, who taught them how to present a business idea in a correct and efficient manner.
The competitors also learned to identify target customer segments, create the Minimum Viable Product, apply the Business Model Canvas, define the cost and revenue structure, and find product advertising channels.
At the end of the two-day marathon the jury selected 5 teams to be supported by the business incubator and local and international mentors during a six-month period.

The Hackathon is a marathon aiming to discover, support and promote young people who are able to manage a successful business in their locality, in fields which they choose on their own.
This project is financed by the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and is implemented by Business Consulting Institute, ODIMM and CIVITTA Estonia during August 2015 - June 2016.
