Today, July 25, 2011, in Chisinau and Iasi there was simultaneously launched the Project „The Network of IT Cooperation of the Euroregion Siret-Prut-Nistru”. The Association Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion (Iasi, Romania) is applicant to this project, while Business Consulting Institute is the partner institution.
This project will bring benefits to the Association Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion, two County Councils and 178 mayoralties in Romania, 18 Rayon Councils and 489 mayoralties in the Republic of Moldova, as to the population of the Euroregion Siret-Prut-Nistru. The activities aim establishing the institutional framework of the project, creating an unique communication system, organizing technical trainings in using the software and network equipments, publishing the results and monitoring and reporting the project activities.
The scope of the project is strengthening the logistical infrastructure of the Euroregion Siret-Prut-Nistru, in order to develop the capacities of elaboration and implementation of common cross-border projects.
The launching event took place in the Pink Room of Codru Hotel and was attended by the representatives of rayon councils in the Euroregion and from mass-media. During it, there was initiated a video conference with the representatives of the Association Siret-Prut-Nistru Euroregion, who launched the project in the same time at the Prefecture of Iasi (Romania). It was an occasion to appoint the next common meeting, which will take place at the beginning of August month, in Iasi and also to express the certitude that the project will have a fruitful evolution.
The Project is financed by the European Union, in the Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova and will last 14 months.
