The launching of the program “Local Economical Partnerships”
The East European Foundation carries out, during 2010-2011, the programme “Local Economical Partnerships”, with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida/Asdi) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The programme was designed to fulfill specific needs of local communities, helping them to identify and mobilize local resources necessary in this demarche.
The foundation announced the start of the examination of the projects for the development of local economic partnerships. The total value of financed projects will reach maximum 125 thousand USD. The candidates can be non-commercial organizations or private institutions from Moldova. The first stage will vise the evaluation of project concepts, when will be chosen at least 10 project proposals. In the second stage, at least 5 projects will be chosen for financing.
The financing will be offered for the projects in the following fields: the diversification of public services; development of the community infrastructure; new technologies and practices for an efficient energy consumption. The projects must be elaborated and implemented in partnerships formed of non-commercial organizations, local and public administrations, and private companies. Only co-financed projects will be chosen.
