Young people from the Security Zone now have the opportunity to apply to a business grant competition launched under the Project Creation of Job Opportunities through Business Support for Youth of the Support to Confidence Building Measures Programme.
The grant competition aims at youth aged 18-35, particularly women and vulnerable people, living in the districts of Floresti, Soldanesti, Rezina, Orhei, Criuleni, Dubasari, Anenii Noi, Causeni and Stefan-Voda.
Over 300 grant application forms have already been submitted. The best 75 business ideas were selected by Business Consulting Institute as project partner. The authors of the best project ideas attended a two-day course in business planning, learning to launch and plan a business, and to obtain nonreimbursable financing.
The best business plans will obtain grants of up to 13,500 EURO; their implementation will be supported during a period of 14 months.
The application deadline is 9 November 2015. All those interested are encouraged to apply, whether or not they submitted a first application form in the previous project stage.
This project started in 2009 and is implemented by the SCBM Programme/UNDP with the financial support of the European Union. The Programme contributes to confidence building between both banks of Nistru river by involving local public authorities, business community and other stakeholders.
