CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN A CONTEST. Provision of Consultancy Services for Competitiveness improvement through training and certification of Business Consultants

The Programme “Support to Confidence Building Measures” is funded by the European Union (EU) and implemented by the UNDP / Support to Confidence Building Measures Programme. The overall objective of the Programme is to contribute to an environment of trust and cooperation on both sides of the Nistru River, through project implementation in socio – economic development. One of these projects is the international certification of business consultants by enhancing their competitiveness.

 
In this context, the launched contest aims to select a group of 20 participants (10 persons from each bank of the Nistru River and at least 40 % women) who will be trained and certified as “CMC” – Certified Management Consultant.

The project partners are 3 international and national agencies:

1. Christian Putzer Management Consulting (CPM Consulting) – Austria, Innsbruck
2. Business Consulting Institute (BCI) – Republic of Moldova, Chisinau
3. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Republic of Moldova, Tiraspol

CPM Consulting from Austria will do the training, the coaching and will organize the certification of the business consultants. During the project, the participants will receive both training and consultancy support (Coaching) from local and international experts to improve their CONSULTING skills in providing Management consultancy services. The training course incorporates 5 modules. Each module contains 5 full days of training with an overall of 25 days of training (200 hours of training). The trainings will be organized between January and April 2017 at” Vatra” pension, in Vadul-lui-Vodă.

The admission to the oral hearing at the end of the course includes a prequalification phase – where the candidate must proof the fulfillment of formal criteria. (e.g. 3 years of consultancy practice, 2-3 own reference projects). If all criteria are fulfilled the candidate is approved for the oral hearing where he has to present and discuss in a 45 minutes-dialogue with an international commission 1-2 cases of his consulting experience to proof his consultancy skills. If the candidate successfully passes the hearing, he will be awarded as CMC – Certified Management Consultant which is an internationally acknowledged certificate issued by ICMCI: http://www.icmci.org/ , which is equivalent to the European Standard norm EN 16114 for Management Consulting.

The following selection criteria will be taken into account:

• The candidates are part of a Consulting Company or self-employed consultants or in-house-consultants
• The candidates have at least 3 years of proven consulting experience
• The candidates must provide at least 2-3 reference projects with reference letters from customers
• The candidates must have a University degree in economics, law, IT or in other related fields of management
• The candidates must have a good knowledge of English (intermediate - advanced)
• The candidates must have a proof of published essays, performed trainings, presentations or university lectures
• The candidates must have good computer skills (including MS Office)
• The candidates must be ready and available to attend the entire trainings course.

The successful candidates will be admitted to the training courses as soon as the personal contribution of 200 USD is paid. If the participant regularly attends the course (a minimum of 90 % course presence) and will at least participate to the certification hearing, the amount of the personal contribution will be reimbursed.
