Balti Trolleybus Company - Public Transport Twinning Partnership

Goal: To modernize the vehicle fleet of Balti Trolleybus Company and improve the operation of the transport operator.    

Objectives:

• To establish a twinning partnership with a „best in class” trolleybus operator and learn from their experience   
• To offer consultancy services for the restructuring of trolleybus operation, with the financial support of EBRD
• To assist the Company to finalize the new Public Service Contract to be signed with the City   
• To develop and implement a Corporate Development Plan to improve the Company’s operational and financial results   
• To improve the management methods applied by the Company.  

 Results

• A new trolleybus fleet and disposal of old trolleybuses
• Tariff adjustments and improved collection, once the new trolleybuses will be in use    
• Implementation of new quality standards, like reliability, punctuality, cleanliness and other  
• Operational and financial performance indicators developed for a better management  
• Trolleybus service monitoring procedures.
