Management of Urban Public Transport System in Chisinau Municipality

Goal: 

To elaborate and to hand in to local public authorities a series of documents, also with normative-juridical character, based on a systemic approach to urban public transport management, which shall contribute to ensuring accessible, comfortable, prompt and non-pollutant transport services, in order to satisfy passengers’ needs at minimum costs, ensured by an efficient managerial system.

Objectives: 

• Organization and promotion of a new model of public transport by bus within Chisinau Municipality;
• Establishment of a legal base and a regulatory mechanism meant to improve the management of urban public transport services;
• Application of appropriate clauses for services, which would correspond to European norms and standards;
• Creation of a coalition joining the main stakeholders in order to establish an efficient management of urban public transport in Chisinau.

 Results 

• Conclusions to all the polices, regulations and methodologies elaborated
• Published the book “Management of urban public transport in Chisinau Municipality”
• Conducting the Project Conclusion Conference.
