Assessment of women needs in four pilot rayons in the rural area of Moldova

Goal: The project aims to address the needs of the rural and sub-urban population, especially poor women in exercising their social and economic rights through increasing access to quality information and services in employment and social protection areas.    

Objective

• To overall assess women needs in the selected pilot rayons, through an analysis of the vulnerability as well as the skills, in terms of services to be provided by both, state and private institutions/organizations.   

Results

• A set of identified needs of Moldovan rural women in the 4 pilot rayons.
• Report on the individual and population perception of the quality of the services provided at local and regional level.
• Assessment of opportunities and mechanism available related to key area of women economic empowerment, with accent to employment/self-employment.
• First findings of the needs assessment, piloted on one rayon.
• Draft report on women needs assessment (a replication in the other three selected rayons).
• Final report.
