Goal: Facilitate actions which will boost the implementation of the Administrative-Territorial Reform in Moldova.
Objective: Raise the awareness of all involved entities and civil society about the need to develop the Administrative-Territorial Reform, which will shape the administrative structure of the country and allow its components to become self-efficient and sustainable and improve quality of people’s life.
Results
- Facilitated the dialogue among institutions and civil society representatives in order to ensure their closer cooperation;
- Involved the representatives of concerned institutions in activities and public dialogue for the elaboration of a methodology and streamlining of the reform process;
- Study visit to Macedonia and transfer of experience and best practices which will help the participants to shape and develop policy recommendations at a later stage, designing an optimal model to be followed by the Republic of Moldova in implementing the Administrative-Territorial Reform;
- Study visit to Moldova of experts in public administration and territorial-administrative reform, from Macedonia, Georgia, the Czech Republic, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia and Ukraine, and their participation to the International Conference „The Decentralization Reform: from Strategy to action”, where the experience and practices of their countries and solutions and models for Moldova were presented;
- Ensured visibility of actions in order to raise the awareness of involved entities and population about the need to implement the reform, through informative materials and roundtable discussions in Chisinau.
